Olive Energy Congo integrated services rely on the use of multiple advanced niche technologies that are adapted to the complex African oil and gas exploration and development challenging environment.
We invest in tools and equipment that facilitate and accelerate the exploration and development of African oil and gas assets. We use our local content to create and build equipment that address specific needs found in Africa. Our engineers, technicians and welders in Pointe Noire build equipment and systems that address specific oilfield problems not commonly encountered elsewhere.
Olive Energy Congo and its partners specialize in shallow marine and land seismic acquisition using innovative approaches still unknown to most E&P companies. The acquired seismic is processed using niche technologies that allow the imaging of reservoirs with a resolution rarely seen in mainstream E&P industry.
The processed seismic is used in seismically driven workflows available in FracPredictor to image in 3D key reservoir properties critical to the successful discovery and production of oil and gas resources. These reservoir properties include lithology, porosity, matrix permeability, hydrocarbon saturation and natural fractures density and orientation.
Using unique geomechanical and engineering tools available in FracPredictor, the derived 3D models of the target reservoirs are used to optimize drilling locations, stimulation strategies and predict production.
Using its drilling optimization software the optimal well trajectory is designed. The actual drilling of the wells is executed using Olive Energy mobile rig equipped with a robotic arm to lift drill pipe and tubulars to reduce rig accidents. At this time Olive Energy Congo holds two drilling records never achieved by other drilling contractor in Congo.
Complex directional drilling is executed by Olive Energy Congo experts using our own MWD tools.
Olive Energy Congo LWD tools provide key logs immediately at the end of drilling and at a resolution higher that wireline logs allowing fast identification of reservoir intervals and saving wireline logging costs to the operator. Casing is set using a Casing Running Tool (CRT).
Olive Energy Congo uses its own cementing unit to cement all the phases of the drilling. The quality of the cement job is controlled using Olive Energy Congo CBL logging tools. Olive Energy Congo batch mixer is available for rent to other E&P operators.
Oil based mud is manufactured at Olive Energy Congo Tchitanzi Environmental Site.
Drilling cuttings are environmentally treated at Olive Energy Congo Tchitanzi Environmental Site where they are transformed and revalorized into other products used in construction and new wells.
Using Olive Energy workover rig and its large stock of completion equipment, Olive Energy Congo executes all types of well interventions on existing wells
Olive Energy slickline – e-Line triple drum truck is used both with the workover rig or in rigless operations using Olive Energy cranes
Using unique geomechanical, frac design and proppant transport tools available in FracPredictor, the optimal stimulation strategies are designed.
Olive Energy 12,000 HP frac spread is used to pump any job. At this time Olive Energy holds the record of the biggest frac job pumped in Congo.
Olive Energy Congo provides advanced pressure and temperature gauges as well as MPLT tools to measure the reservoir performances.
Olive Energy Congo sells and rents production equipment including 3-phase separators, surge tanks and all the necessary equipment to put wells on production. Olive Energy Congo production experts assist its partners and clients optimize the early production tests.
Olive Energy Congo Tchitanzi environmental site is a fundamental component of the company ESG commitment. All the petroleum waste generated during drilling, well testing and fracing is transported in sealed containers to the treatment site where multiple processes are used to transform the waste into valuable resources used in other applications
The cuttings from drilling are treated using both physical, biologic and chemical processes. The end results are products used to make bricks while the recovered oil is used to make new oil-based mud used in the drilling of the next wells.
At Olive Energy Congo Tchitanzi environmental site all the petroleum waste is revalorized using environmentally friendly processes that leverage the power of sun, plants and microbes feeding on hydrocarbons.
